Honored to team up with @jameson_us again this time of year to have bold conversations over bold cocktails – and to unveil their new #BlackBarrel bottle design.

Honored to work with Jameson Whiskey for a 2nd year to introduce their Caskmates release. As long as we can remember whiskey and stout have lived behind the bar together. Often sharing shelf space, but never introduced. Jameson’s master distiller ran into the master brewer of Cork City’s Franciscan Well Brewery. While talking shop, a plan was hatched to send a few Jameson casks to the Franciscan Well Brewery to see how it would influence their craft Irish stout. The end result is a head-turning, modern Irish whiskey. 

In collaboration with Jameson Whiskey, an experiment that ended up with surpassingly delicious results and was worth bottling.

In a recent job with Jameson Whiskey, I learned that two heads are said to be better than one, and this particular whiskey adds serious weight to that argument. Emerging from a conversation between Jameson Whiskey's head distiller and the head brewer of Cork’s Franciscan Well Brewery, Jameson Caskmates has been finished in stout-seasoned whiskey casks. While the triple-distilled smoothness is very much intact, notes of cocoa, coffee and butterscotch confirm the stout influence.
