MAKING HEIRLOOM TREASURES

Before beginning a custom order, I read a note from the spoon's owner:

Eric,

I’m not exactly sure where this spoon is from. All I know is that is came from my grandpa’s silverware drawer.

Both my grandma and grandpa met in the Korean War. She was a nurse and he was a soldier. In April 2007, my grandma passed away and since then my grandpa has been living in assisted living outside of Chicago.

This past Thanksgiving could very well be the last time I got to see him. Cancer is taking him and his heart is failing fast. He’s been very positive through all of this and is trying to hold onto life as best he can.

My hopes are to turn this spoon into a ring to remember both of my grandparents by and to always be reminded of how much they loved me and how proud of me they were.
